Best Investment

Seriously one of the smartest purchases for Lily we have gotten this year. Great way to cool down on a hot summer day.

Teaching Lily to sit / lay down in the pool

Cooling her hot body off

She was unsure at first but loves it now

Lily's First Swim

Joshua was a bit sad that Lily and I did all those events without him. So we spent a couple of hours at the dog park where there's a dog "beach" and a pier to jump off of.

This was Lily's first go at the whole water thing after the disaster at the Capital. It was incredibly funny to watch. It was like a little kid testing out the water very carefully. But she's a very good swimmer, not so much on the jumping off the dock yet though. I have a feeling she'll be fine in the future.

Retrieving her ball from the water

Can't let that ball get out of her sight

She is loving to retrieve her ball from the water

Attempting the jump off the dock

Uncertain and being very carefully

Getting ready to go

The take off

She's got a pretty good style

And into the water
Big dog, big splash

Lily so proud of herself

As am I

Running around to dry off

Having tons of fun at the dog park

So are we

Dogs on the Square

After supporting the Oregon K9 squad, we headed to this event the next day to support the Capital K9 squad. Lily had a blast and thanks to Aunt Linda, we got some pretty good pics from the day.

First look at water...Lily was so afraid, we pushed her in

Lily swimming over to me for help

Shaking off water all over me

At least she knows how to sit and stay for a treat

So many balls to choose from

Cute pic of us

Lily trying a second time but we still had to push her in

Still swimming over for help instead of going up the ramp

Aw poor puppy, little did she know, she come to love water

Drying off and sniffing the fresh air

And now passing out after a long day

Oregon 5k9 Run

I got a chance to do a race with Lily and the proceeds went to a great cause, to the police K9 fund.

It was a super hot day and we ended up running 35 minutes and 11 seconds. Not too bad for a poop stop and a looooooong water break on this hot day. If not for those delays, we could've broke 30 minutes.

Still proud of my pup though. I love running with her!

Relaxing before the race

On our run. She's a great pacer.

Getting misted on and cooling off after the run

Drinking lots of water to cool down

A treat for doing an awesome job!

Resting before heading out

My awesome running buddy

Oops, Mom lost the car key and are now waiting for Aunt Linda
