All three were so incredibly adorable but one of them caught our eye. She was the only one that was interested in us and not the grass. She also had this cut below her eye which we thought was cute. It made me believe that she was a tough girl.
We had Lily in the car because we were going to Milwaukee straight afterwards since my brother was in town. Lily was going nuts in the car because she could smell the dogs but we couldn't bring her in while we were choosing.
Lily was not happy to see Kahlua. A lot of sniffing and a lot of head being hung downwards. I think she was jealous since I had Kahlua in my lap for the entire ride to Milwaukee. But once we got to my parents place, she was the best sister to Kahlua. We could see a friendship start to form.
It's funny because as I write this almost 8 months later, Kahlua was not a calm or quiet dog. She also was not a super tough girl but she gets tougher every day.
Kahlua has been a great addition to our family and the two dogs definitely keep each other company and get into trouble together. Lily is no longer lonely when we are out of the house and they definitely tire each other out.
